Fanuc M-1iA/0.5AL

Your small parts man­u­fac­tur­ing will nev­er be the same once you add a Fanuc M‑1iA/0.5AL robot into the mix. This lit­tle robot takes man­u­fac­tur­ing ver­sa­til­i­ty to a whole new lev­el. Not only can it per­form small parts han­dling and assem­bly, but it can also per­form dis­pens­ing appli­ca­tions. It can also be mount­ed almost any­where — table­top, upside down, or at an angle. The foot­print does­n’t take up much room at all (134mmX370mm), and the robot is light­weight, mak­ing it easy to pick up and move to anoth­er loca­tion, if necessary.

So, what can this robot do? It can per­form any small parts task that demands a high lev­el agili­ty. Like oth­er robots in the M‑1iA fam­i­ly, the M‑1iA/0.5AL robot has the dex­ter­i­ty of a human hand. This gives it the abil­i­ty to work in vari­ety of dif­fer­ent indus­tries, includ­ing the elec­tron­ics, fine mechan­ics, med­ical, phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal, and food industries.

Like many Fanuc robots, the M 1iA/0.5AL comes with an R‑30iB con­troller, which is small, saves ener­gy, and comes stan­dard with the iPen­dant Touch. How­ev­er, this mod­el comes with dif­fer­ent R‑30iB options. The Open Air mod­el, how­ev­er, can save man­u­fac­tur­ers even more room by being mount­ed inside the con­troller cab­i­net of anoth­er robot.

The con­troller of the M1iA/0.5AL is not the only part of the robot sys­tem that saves pow­er though. The robot itself has extreme­ly low pow­er con­sump­tion, run­ning on an aver­age of 0.2kW. It is has a low deci­bel lev­el of only 57.6dB, mean­ing that it is a qui­et, lit­tle robot. You do have to be a lit­tle care­ful with this robot though. At a pro­tec­tion rat­ing of only IP20, it is pro­tect­ed from fin­ger touch­es, but it is not pro­tect­ed from water.
